Have one ride on the chassis with out the big bore, tomorrow will be the first day with the big bore. Haven't been this excited about a sled build in years... the x3 is legit and the zbroz 36" front end takes a little to get used to but would never go back wider now that i'm used to it! Riding it with the stock engine is was hands down the most fun chassis i have ever ridden, going to be a beast with the 858 big bore kit!

the 858 is a rocket! Have a little fine tuning to do on the clutching to get my peak rpm's up a little bit but got 70 miles on it last weekend and it is the torquiest low end and mid range two stroke twin i have ever ridden. can't wait to get it dialed in next week, will post up some vids if i remember to get the camera out:/ 0 for 3 having too much fun riding i guess this year

You should bring that thing over to Lolo between Christmas and new years and let a few guys see it in action:face-icon-small-win

there hasn't been one on a dyno that i know of but with the same helix and springs in a stock 2014 pro it will pull 6-8 grams more weight with the epi belly busters so it is a significant gain

So around 20k will take her home??
Warranty?

Would let it go for $19,000, it has a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty but the big bore obviously voids the engine warranty so as long as you have a good dealer you'd still have chassis warranty. This is hands down the best motor i've ever had in a snowmobile, it has exceeded my expectations on torque and power. Power band is linear all the way through and smoothe. have about 100 miles on the big bore and will have the clutching dialed by this weekend.

If you could only have either the track or the motor what would you pick?

the track will definitely be the first mod done to all of my future sleds until something better comes out if thats even possible. the track is a game changer, and the motor kit just takes you to a whole new level of possibilities. They are both worth the coin:face-icon-small-hap

Great looking sled. I see your running the stock skid with the zbroz shocks. How is that handling the 3" and big bore for weight transfer?

Interesting.

I've done the track. Got about 25 miles on it so far. At this point all I can say is holy crap. And I haven't even hit the backcountry with it yet.

As for the motor, Kelsey advertises his kit at just over $2k.

Price is VERY reasonable ($2150 (minus the Fuel Control Box) or $2050 with RKT Cheater Head Option) and WILL produce the power you need!

What else is needed to put this together?
What's different between these two prices? What don't I get with the cheater head option for $100 less?

I've got clutching done for my 3" track...I'm unsure if that clutching would still work (besides of course heavier primary weights).
140/340 (I think it's a light blue/pink. Stock is 140/330) primary, stock weights, black/purple secondary, stock helix.
So far, I'm thinking I need more weight in the primary. I was seeing 8500rpm and one time I saw 8600 at 6500' elevation booning on a small hill.
