M8 Makeover(worlds first brown sled?, it`s not, but still special)

M8 Makeover. Almost finished now!!

So, I`ve got alot of inspiration here on SW. Now I thought I should try to give some inspiration back. If it could be to inspire anyone.

Anyhow, here we go.
I started whit a 2008 M8 that whas wreck, rebuilded it, and ended up whit this.

Stripped for stickers.

A little test drive before season was over.

Last season started whit this.

Season ended whit this. Jaws twins.

Started to tear it apart in the end of this summer.

After some photoshop work, this was my plan.

There`s been alot of sandblasting, and other boring work. Finally I got all the parts ready for powdercoating. Started whit som reasembling this week. So this is where I`m at the moment.

Further on there is some more power to the plant on scedule.
Skis and bumper will be white. Skis is Powder pros.
BDX air intake.
CPC torsions conversion.
Lindeman porting.
Gonna fuel it whit E30. Mix of E85 and pumpgas.
Changing the boss seat whit a 2010 black seat, whit some custom work done to it.

i like it a LOT.. thats a really neat color.. definately gonna stand out on the hill.

Colour is "nut brown". It`s RAL 8011. Brown is a colour that`s on it`s way back on cars now. BMW, Volvo and Audi has all a new brown colour in thers lines now.

So I thought I should be one of the first one whit it on a sled

Unfortanly I had to travel at work now, so progress will be slow. Aiming for start up before christmas.

I`see. Thanks. Maybe I should had UPS stickers on it. They have delivered alot of parts to it

very nice build! I like the "UPS" idea. My sled is going ot be outfited with husquvarna rap from SCS if i ever get the cash to get a new hood. Mainly because i like the chainsaws, and it funded some of the project, ohh and i have been known to use tree's as traction. :first:

Things going slow, but steady at least. Still missing som parts, but they are right around the corner.
Got some of the sled reasembled, and looking to get the front suspension mounted tomorrow if my steering spindels shows up from the powdercoater. Had some stuggle during coating, due to grease boiling out of them when baking the powder. Should be all good now according to the "powder guy".

Looking after decal kits these days, but can`t find or decide what would work.
Pics says more then 1000 words they say. So here we go.

Thanks.
She`s starting to come together, but still missing my spindles.

So had to mount up some other parts since spindles are missing.

Drilled up the lower hole, and mounted up the skid. Done the " geo elvis" mod to the rest of the skid also.

Fuel pressure gauge mounted.

Got my new Jaws trail silencer. Have to weld her up, and get it painted.

it doesn't look like much savings over stock can
