turbo kit is in the house

Now we can make some progress. Boondocker has delivered our kit ahead of schedule and with some very nice improvements for 2010-2011 season. We will mention the changes as we go.

After seeing this thread...I won't tell you what I'm feeling at this point.
But it feels kinda funny inside. Like when you used to climb the rope in gym class.

It has been a few days since I posted any updates. We have been working on the project and are about 75% done but I keep forgetting the camera.

Here is the footrest and tunnel modified for the muffler system:

Here are the stock injectors with Boondocker harness and the secondary injector system. The rail has been used on several other apps so the Boondocker engraving is upside down on this app.

This is the DC power unit we have relocated it to the L.H. fender for cleaner wiring set up. The new Boondocker kits come with wiring upgrades and plug and play connectors for 09-11 sleds so you can use the stock regulator.

Turbo and oil tank assy mounted in the sled and the Boondocker box mounted on sled. I know not many people mount it by the recoil but as long as you don't let the rope go flying it's not an issue and it allows for cleaner routing. I will take more pics of this routing on Thursday. We have some high temp conduit coming and then we will get the final routing finished.

looks sweet bud and your typical sano build. Is your hood going to fit on with that huge inter-cooler??? How much does the cooler weigh?

Thank you. You know the sanoness does not get into full swing until I get into my zone with the wire loom and zip ties lol:cheer2:

VERY NICE.

What do you think of AC's lighter crank and their own claim that turbo'ing the 2011's isn't as safe at the previous heavier cranks?

Yeah, maybe it was the 2010's that started the light crank.

OK, I'll rephrase my question....

How did the 2010 cranks do with turbo's blowing on them?

I am only aware of Arctic Cat saying they did not have any experience with the new motor on boost when it came out last year.

We built several 2010s with PG and RG turbos and know of many others it works great.

I believe the crank is as strong as the previous version anyway. The modifications were mainly to the crank weights.

We have not experienced a single engine failure of any kind with the 2010 model and I can only remember repairing one 2007-2009 model motor (piston failure) out of approximately 100 we sold.
