Apex Drive Chain - T- Apex

We had a great year last year with neither of us breaking our chains, but the year before we had them break three times between the two sleds.

I am getting ready to change my chain for good measure.

Is the stronget chain the stock Yamaha chain or is there something better out there?

chain

seem to have had the best luck with the stock chains. just dont run them over 2000 miles and watch the tension. Plus if you junk drivers you should consider the chain if the drivers skiped a bunch. julio

Stock chain sems to work fine. Do not over tighten it and it should be all good. I put 3000km with boost on mine and I still have it for a spare.

I will probably just put another stock chain on and keep an eye on the tension.

Last year I replaced my gears, chain and all my bearings.

Change you oil lots and inspect alot....doesnt take much time but well worth it IMO

Stock Yamaha chain is $140 usd!! Is it my dealer or what? Why so much?

Chain

Just paid that for a nitro chain. I believe it was 165can.
pulled chain on nitro tonight to find 1 link broken and bottom bolt on gear broken for the second time. 1850 miles on sled.

You caught it just in time then.

Two out of the three chain breaks we experienced broke the chain cases and cost hundreds of extra dollars.

The chains are too expensive but they are a lot less expensive than not changing them.
