I have ZRT 600 -97 engine laying in my garage and decided to put it into watercross sled. So what can be done to the engine to turn it a monster? I'm not going to increase cc:s as here in Finland we have own class for 600cc sleds. Also turbo and nos are forbidden. But anything else is allowed.
I found this by searching:
- Doubling or tripleing base gasket combined with head cut will give good results. Squish set around 0.050? Needs more than 91 oct.
- Black Magic or PSI pipes should be good with 9300 rpm? How about other pipes?
- 2 degree timing key is also ok?
- How about carbs? I have 38mm round slides hanging around - any gains with them or are 36mm better?
- Which year CDI works the best?
So, I have bunch of questions and I'm asking advice what to do? Any tuning info is welcome.
Thanx!
