You cannot anodize it with glue! Must have electrical continuity thru whole beam. Best bet would be roughen up surface or abrasive blast surface clean. and re-apply different color. Anodize will not help surface snow/ice from sticking, better to paint!

Anyone have any pictures of there painted rails? How did it stand up? Would like to paint my alpha rail in the fall.

My buddy powder coated his and it bent
Was your buddy riding the sled when the Alpha rail bent?
Or was it in the shop and it magically bent right before his very eyes?

Today's paint will hold-up very well without the hard as a rock powder coating, just a little flex additive and it is like a plastic bumper! Powder coating is worthless these days, It does nothing but chip, crack over time!
