Just got the Boondocker numbers for my 17 MC with Jaws pipe kit and they are way different than previous years. So if anybody threw pipe kits on their 17's off the old sleds, you will need to completely re-tune. Damn near don't need a controller for it.

Interesting!!!! I'm having a hard time believing the dropped chain case and 8-tooth drivers are the sole reason everyone is claiming the 17s are that much better then the 16s. Although I believe it's a big part of the equation, I really think there is more to the story. Mapping being the other half of the equation. Why are mapping changes such a 'secret' from the manufactures? I think it's complete BS that information is not disclosed!!!!! I understand there are holdovers that need to be sold, but why not full disclosure on the new? Let the market decide what they want, pay full price for new or the discounted holdover. I bet a lot more MC would have been sold if the whole story was laid out............... It's marketing and big reason why Cat's in the hole they're in!!!!

The 2017 ECU has different mapping. They cleaned up some of the lean midrange areas that were trouble in years past. It is different in many of the cells than what we have seen and should work great!

The gearing that everybody says was too low with 7 tooths sounds like its just about spot on with the 8s.
i bet its just the drivers, AOA, and 8 pounds weight loss, just my guess tho.

my 17 has the 109 KW on the sticker, as mentioned in the other thread. wonder what gives there... I wasnt even aware of this type of output rating.

Wouldn't recommend it without running the 17 pipe. From what I've heard there are more changes to its design than just different mounts.

They work damn good that's for sure and I've had my share of proclimbs in the past, stock, turbo and single pipe setups

I recall the vids a few guys had from last year 16 vs 17 , the 17 left the 16 like it had 15 more hp. It was surprising. Id love to see what the 17 will do with a jaws pipe on it.
