High idle - tps

Trying to track down my high idle, used to only be after I rode it hard for a bit it'd stay at 1900. Then it started staying it 2200-2400 and now it never idles below that. No codes or check engine light. Checked for a air leak with wd-40 and nothing..

Could the tps need to be adjusted?

Or ?

Throttle cable has ample slack

Well, I was wrong, it's the crank seal. It idled just high enough that it wouldn't idle higher with wd-40 but hit it with brake cleaner today and the exhaust instantly blew white smoke...

Time for a complete rebuild. Damn it.

MrIQR, please explain this technique with the brake cleaner. You spray brake cleaner between the clutch and the crankcase while the engine is running and watch for exhaust smoke?
