I just bought a turbo for my PC800 and would like to hear from some people who has had one or been around someone that does run one.

What things do I have to look out for?

What fuel does everyone run or mixture?

Looking forward trying my hand at the turbo word.

I run a stage II cutler an last year I ran straight pump at 5# and this year I'm planning on running Av which should be capable if at least 12. And you will def wanna find some way to couple your skid cause these things are wheelie monsters on boost. I'd also ditch that oil pump and run mixed 32:1

I have thought about the oil pump, but I kinda like not having to mix the fuel. although I will have to mix the gas to face fuel so whats one more step.

Also. If your running a race gas kit with 4 injectors(total) or even a pump gas kit. Your running a lot more fuel. Most of the turbo kits recommend mixing your fuel at 100:1 or so just so there is some extra lubrication when running twice the fuel.

So once your adding oil to that pos oil tank with the crappy lid, and poor half a pint down the side of the tank. and doing a race gas blend. Buy doing the injection delete your almost saving a step. Not adding one.

3 inj huh? thats strange. I would either go for 4 or 2, imo if that fuel dont atomize the right way youre going to get a lil more in one cyinder then the other. ?

my kit runs 4 injectors and i run 32:1, talked to numerous turbo-cat guys running the same set up on the same sled and they all said run 32:1 maybe 40:1, but ive nver heard of running anything more then that. Think about it, your 3&4 injectors are only on in boost so when your just putting around then youd be more prone to a burn down.

Push intend whit the 3rd injector is to cool down the charge tube at the same time adding extra fuel.

Hooch, the TBBT system is completely different than any other turbo system out there. It runs the 3rd injector into the charge tube and creates awesome throttle response.

If you want the inside scoop on the TBBT system, seek out user "BACON" as he is running one and loves it. He is also running the vipec box with it.

I've heard that some people tune with the old fail safe EGT gauges, and some use AFR gauges?

I've used EFT's for years, but I would like to hear from some people on the other side of the fence and tune with AFR's.

What to look out for? I'm used to NA motors not boosted.

Buddy's running old cutler tech with the blinky box don't get caught up in that. Get rid of oil tank run 50:1. If its your first turb run both guadges its the price of one piston you can tune faster with both. I like egts when they give you numbers sometimes they are really conservative like 1200 pretty low best to check piston wash and see what kinda heat you got As long as its crisp run low egts all different kits bit once they are dialed in I usually see 1300 to 1350 and AF 12.5 to 13.5 and a 3/4 wash on piston.
