Unfortunately I didn't have very good luck with my wife's Doo. We own an A/C,3000 miles a Poo,3000 miles, and her 550 Doo, only 1800 miles and had to replace the engine. I don't think I could be accused of being brand loyal. I know it's not an 800 but it sure put's a sour taste in your mouth when you have to spend $2,300.00 on a machine that only has 1800 miles on it. For that reason I will not be buying another Doo. If it's cheap now that doesn't mean it will be cheap in the long run.

Same price for a '14 with the updated T-Motion rear skid this year.
Another chance for people to get into a new machine at a great price!

My '13 Sport did everything for me that a $12,000 sled would have done.

all manufactures should be doing this. our sport is shrinking year after year and most of it is due to prices that are getting totally ridiculous...

This is off topic, but am curious what happened to the engine in the 550 because I have a Summit 550F my boy rides.

Rapid City Skidoo dealer has been advertising a new 2013 Summit Sport 800 Ptek 154" for $7900, but when you only get 5 or 6 "decent" weekends to ride in a season it still seems like too much.

I think it's a sweet deal and checked a '14. Plus you get a 4 yr warranty. Like mentioned before the '14 has t-motion and new skis. Wish it came with the 2.5 track but it will work fine for me. I'll put the extreme seat on it also and a few other goodies. With a can and clutching and I'm not sure the XM's will have too much of an advantage.

$8,999 for a sled plus $2250 for a Trygstad 872 kit is $11249 for a 184hp sled. That is $850 less than a Summit X and you still have the S36 front end, tmotion, flex edge, and the pilot ds2 skis with 24 more hp. With the left over $850 you can throw on new running boards and a lightweight silencer and have a way more bad *** sled for the same money.

I have both the Ptek and etec machines and to be truthful I can not say the etec has more hp.
they seem so close both in the flats and in the hills.
hills here are up 9000 ft

Had my 800 powertek and my riding buddies go both this season mine went at 2000 miles and his 1700 miles I find that this is unacceptable with that low of miles to have to go spend 4000 bucks for a new motor to be installed! Going to be shopping around for something other than a doo this summer! Just my experiances!

Yeah, & I'm gonna stop drinking chocolate milk because the lawn needs to be mowed.
