I have removed my stock headlights in my 08 m1000sp and want to add lights under the hood an draw the same or close to the same amount of current with the aftermarket lights... I have a set that are 55 watts each... Just wondering what the stock lights are so I draw the same amount and wont fry my ecu.
I currently added just 1 55 watt light, then zip tied one of the stock lights under the hood, but the bulb broke which was (i assume) due to it not being covered, so when snow hit it it shattered.
I havent had any issues, but when I unloaded the sled I noticed that the single 55 watt aftermarket light was hot.
I will add a second light, but want to be sure to draw the correct amount of current.
