How do the steering rod ends attatch on M-series

Have an 06 M7 and broke a bunch of stuff. I haven't tried it yet but was wondering how the ends of the steering rods attatch. Do you just beet on the bearing part and it goes on properly or is there an easy way to attatch it. Also had to get a new shock and spring and have not tried this yet either. Is there an easy way to put the spring on the shock. Thanks for any advice

If the "loop" of the steering rod end is popped off the "ball," you need to replace the rod end. Hammering them back together will not fix them.

Slide the spring on the shock.
