Yes, but at some point they need to make a profit as well. It's a tough business. Dealers don't make much on the sale of sleds. There just is not much markup. They really make money off of service, used sled sales, small margins on parts.

I'm not trying to say you shouldn't shop around for a deal, but if a local dealer is wanting your business and tries to take care of you when you need help. What is $500 for buying locally? Wait until you local dealer closes shop because they cannot afford to be open and then what are you stuck with?

I agree. But there is a limit. I think I will give my dealer about a 3-400 dollar advantage (plus the price of driving to get the sled). So say my local dealer is 500 more than the dealer 150 miles away. I would go with the local dealer. That would be $500-50 cents/mile*300miles=$350 to keep it local. If he is much more than that, I gotta say I'll have to shop somewhere else. I'm all about supporting local businesses, trust me. But I also have to watch that I don't over pay for an already very expensive TOY.

Was just told by my dealer, $250.00 over invoice. Still waiting on a firm number as he didn't have the price in front of him. Should be about a $1,250.00 savings over MSRP as there is about $1,500.00 between invoice and MSRP.

Neither one of your posts make any sense. What new gauge are you taking about? The new PIDD? I thought that was $700. Punctuation works wonders too.

Pro 800 163, 2.6" MSRP 13,999 on website. Quoted price including freight and all fees (no sales tax) is 12,935. Got a price from 2 different dealers and they were within 5 bucks of each other. Eric

I forgot to mention, the dealer that was 5 bucks higher I bought a new sled from less then a year ago. The other dealer I have never bought anything from and is a MUCH smaller dealer. I was going to go with the small shop even if they were 3-400 higher, way better service.

Anyone else notice that the in season pro rmk (the non-"LE" version) is 400 bucks less than the snowcheck msrp?? It is on carls cycle website anyway.

That's BS if you ask me.

Do you like the additional bodywork colors, coated tunnel, skid/spindle color? I for one will gladly pay the extra $400 to have the availability of the additional colors and options to not have the same sled as everyone else.

That's true. But I thought that was part of the incentive to commit early...you get FREE stuff or a better price. Here we have to pay (Something even if it is cheaper than doing it yourself to an in season model) for the stuff. Still snowchecking, just going through everything we get with it.

I personally think the golden ticket is a scam. I wish there was a choice to take the golden ticket or another option as there is with the warranty/gauge. I don't plan to snowcheck again next year, the year after, or the year after that. I will likely still have this sled when the 2020 Pro Double Axys Twist comes out.

Is dealer pricing a static number? Or do higher volume dealers get better pricing?

Large dealers get additional incentives/bonuses for the more sleds sold. So they are able to factor that in and offer lower prices than cost knowing that if they can sell 200 sleds they will get money back on all of them... Or so Ive heard.

YES, and you can snow check it that way if you want to save 400 bucks and have the "stock" color and raw tunnel, rails, spindles. Eric

I wonder what the price will be on a standard non snowcheck come January 1 2016. My dealer also said I could take an additional $600 or so off if I didn't want the gauge or the warranty.

Think I'll stick with the warranty though. Nice to know it's covered for 4 years.
