Cleaning exhaust valves 2009 summit 800

I have a 2009 summit xp with a little over 3000 miles on it and have had no engine problems, so I thought it might be time to clean the exhaust valves. Does anybody know the proper procedure for removing and cleaning them? I have been using Amzoil Interceptor oil. Thanks............

It is pretty straight up on all sleds, remove un-bolt take not to the direction they go in. Some sleds will only accept one way, other you can put them in upside down. You can get away with re-using your gaskets but it depends on how careful you are in taking them off. With 3k I would buy a gasket kit just in case, probably due.

So you soak them over night clean them up and put them in the way they came out and thats it? Nothing hard about it? I have been told these are a pain to clean and pull out.

Check the check valves for oil build up. If they are clogged the power valves wont close for low RPM riding. http://www.mxzx-revzone.com/article/-163.asp

No problem. It took me a half a season to figure that one out. All power on top end but bottom end sucked. Started around 2400 miles.
