The team at HM Turbos is excited to be heading a project to transform a 2015 AXYS Chassis Pro-X into an all-out deep snow mountain sled. The new Polaris AXYS chassis will provide the platform for the build and will be sporting the latest in HM Turbos turbocharging technology and will be the basis for the model year 2016 RMK Turbo Kits. A 163” track will be fitted to a mountain tuned rear suspension, as well as a custom front suspension. The new Polaris 800 H.O. engine will provide the power plant for the sled, and should make some impressive HP numbers with boost from HM Turbos. The new turbo setup will be the best kit yet from HM Turbos, with features including the latest in fuel and ignition control technology as well as features and designs never seen before. We would like to open this thread for suggestions for what you, the customers, would like to see for features on the new turbo setup. Come take a look at the sled in the Van Amburg booth at the Puyallup, Spokane, and Boise Snow Shows.

curious what your going to be running for a charger since the whole aero debacle.

some cool units out there and that is sort of the backbone of a turbo kit, so more curious about that then the physical sled since POO will be providing those details come mid winter.

Upon gearing up for production for the 2015 snow season Hi Performance Engineering LLC. (a.k.a. Aerocharger) has closed HM Turbos account, therefore we can no longer purchase turbos from them. Due to this setback no kits will be produced for the 2015 season for the Polaris Pro Rmk, only existing kits in stock will be sold. Henceforth we will be focusing on development of our 2016 model year kit, which we have BIG things planned for the upcoming Polaris chassis. We will continue to provide quality service for our past, current and future customers as we always have. We also recommend prospective buyers to run what they have for one more season as the advancements in the new kit, along with the new chassis/engine from Polaris will be well worth the wait. Thanks for your support.

That's unreal. You guys seemed like the only guys killing it with their Turbos. Sucks for sure, but know you'll be back in a year with an even better product!!

Reliable kit for the sea level to 4000 feet zone. Not looking for giant hp numbers just a fun kit. So far no one has anything for the Alaskan market. Why doesn't someone offer custom cut pistons with their kit for elevation? If you need test mules I can provide them.

I can't wait to see the play out of this...please keep us in the loop with photos and descriptions throughout the build!

Back in 2010, when FTX did the RUSH-RMK...pretty cool to watch the build... these things make great topics.

Aerocharger

HiPerformance LLC, the manufacturer of the Aerocharger, has transitioned its business model over the course of several years to reduce the number of 3rd party builders and focus on supplying turbos to Aerocharger LLC, the turbo system builder. We've worked with many different kit builders in the past, and ultimately moving turbo system development entirely in-house allowed us to provide more effective support for Aerocharger owners. Our last remaining accounts were HM Turbos and CMX. They are both talented R&D specialists, and although we can no longer support them as 3rd party kit builders, we look forward to seeing strong product offerings from them in the future.

Inquiries can be directed to info@aerocharger.com.

All the best,
Brad Riley

Just thinking out loud here (because I don't know either's story)...but if HM Turbos isn't going make a production run for the 2015 model year, I'm assuming this recent enough for them to wait for another year to begin selling kits again.
It didn't give them enough time to put together an alternative for this upcoming season.

GOOD ON HM TURBOS for not "scrambling" to get alternative turbo together that doesn't have the proper R&D and preparation.
The consumer doesn't get some last minute replacement.
HM Turbos reputation can intact for not putting out something that isn't ready just to make a production run.

So since I seem to be out of the loop are we for sure getting the Axy's chassis and HO motor for next year??

And what is different/better about the Axy's? I thought it was just a trail chassis? Why do we want it in a mountain sled what makes it better?

HM we need more pics of this sled and turbo setup please!

Oh and since you asked I want a top notch oiless turbo (Gerrett, Comp, Precision) with external housing and external gate, short charge tube plumbing, and W/A intercooler air box, not an intercooler off by itself that causes you to use extra charge tubing with sharp bends like old kit, and the Vipec that you (or dealer) tunes in each sled on the snow... Oh and it should be 250hp with stock throttle response:face-icon-small-hap that is all, haha we can dream anyway

Really??

This started as a cool thread about Shane starting an even cooler project.... and degenerated into some kind turbo mfg bash... HM doesn't seem to have any need to participate in the bash...so why muck up the tread.

C'mon... please keep it on topic. I'm looking fwd to Shanes build of this beast... I'm sure it will be good.

If you want to start a new thread with your concerns, feel free.

No we are getting a snow bike version of that crazy 3 wheel deal Polaris just came with... :face-icon-small-sho

You get GPS and BNG's with the Axis. That's the only difference..

Cause that's what the cool kids will have.... :face-icon-small-ton

There must be some pretty good confidence that this is what will be next. Boost it is building one too.

Yes, what do you really expect ,,? in the real world expectations mountainhorse? not the internet politically correct all hale the sales pitch world.

Glad it happened in the real world, glad shane now has much more customers to appeal to and much broader window to work with.
thats what this means to the folks who really have turbos and really have had the experience with that other thing and dont want to let anyone ever forget how they were treated.

thats history man, thats america..:phone::phone:

My wish list is easy. An "affordable" or entry level turbo system for those who can't afford to drop 7k plus. I know... Dreaming....

Yea... the photo completely drives that "skinny"ness home.

Heck... they had to stand the pipe almost vertical.

Hoping for an even narrower cab than the AXYS-RUSH in the next gen of mountain sleds for 2016 or maybe 2017. The next gen may or may not be a "mountain version" of the flatlander.

Scott and I have deleted some of the posts above and I am closing this thread for a day of "cooling off".

And before the "censorship" or "communist" or "Nazi" comments come flying off your keyboard... think about it for a moment please, and think about weather or not you have anything meaningful to add.

I will re-open this on Tuesday morning and hope that we can keep the tread on topic.

As a notice... There will be no more airing of business grievances in this type of thread on the forums PERIOD.

Although...

IF you have a particular issue with a particular mfg... and want to present it in a well though out, level-headed way... please post this up in its own thread, one time... and do not interject this into other peoples threads. If you elaborate well and clearly.

If you are a manufacturer airing a protest against another mfg... those threads/posts will be deleted. The forums just don't need to be cluttered with this kind of nonsense ...and no, the public does not have a right to know your inter-company grievances... Nor do we care to see a bunch of dirty laundry being aired by companies. In the end, it soils the reputation of all the people arguing.

Shanes comments and Brad's comments above were very sane and did not throw mud at each other.

I seldom put my foot down... and don't like doing this... I want to start the season off on a good foot and don't want to see it get denegrated into a pizzing match.
