Put it in a 1M chassis and mod the chassis from there, ie. newer skid from M series and so on..
I think the mountain cat chassis from 2002 was the same pretty much as the Mt cat 1000 triple of that year.. Not a bad chassis but the triple will fit the 1M just about as easy. Ask IDCATMAN1 on here he has done this,, I think....

I have a 05 King Cat Chassis that I am building a 1300 Triple in. All I have is the motor mounted, no pipes or anything yet. The pipes are where you run into problems the #3 cylinder pipe takes some major bending.

Rear left motor mount is different. You'll need the thundercat jackshaft since it is longer. If that's a mountain fit hood it will clear the pipes just fine. Have an 04 with a 1107 in it. Fun sleds

KMMAC if your talking to me. Yes I bought one that was on KSL. Its a very clean sled. I am not sure if I will hang onto it and ride it all year or if Ill build it and sell it. That guy did a very nice job getting it started. Ill just have to finish it.

why would i need to change the drive shaft. looks like i need to tap 4 holes for the front motor mounts. and the rear looks the same. the mt cat is a 2002 and the tripple donar sled is also a 2002. i am going to use the factory pipes for now but if anyone has pipes forsale let me know.

I said the jackshaft not the driveshaft. Tripple jackshaft is longer.

If the sled you're putting it in started as a 600, you're good to go. Technically, the jackshaft on the triples is longer, but it shouldn't be an issue.

If you're starting from an 800 twin, you need to change the jackshaft motor mount to one from either the 1000 triple mountain cat, or a 600 twin.

Tenner, what's the 1300 based on?

I've got pictures of a triple in one, but it's not a T-cat motor...

hows that bad boy runnin Idcatman3????

It's been running great for the 3 seasons I've got on it. No motor issues that weren't self-inflicted, and none at all last year. Pull the rope and go, pump 91 all day every day.

One of my buddies got a Go-Pro at the end of last year, so hopefully I'll have some good video later this year.

well the motor bolted right in with no problems. old 500 out and the triple in about 1 1/2.

The drive shat is short so i am going to pull the one out of the zrt.

Stock pipes will work but the can is a little big, i dont want it melting the hood.

Iam going to break down one day and build one lol, My buddy just built a PSI 1500 pump gas motor good for 300+hp as he says that he may part with on trade for one of my rollers maybe.

psstock800- love the firecat hood, i have seen a few sleds with it but yours in my books looks very very nice.

Put a MBRP can on it they are super small, lightweight and work on either stock pipes or aftermarket ones, if you find some later. My son has a MOD 600 triple in a 03 1M 151 chassis. Good luck, looks like you're getting close!

I think the rod length is different from the 800 to the 1000 but I might be wrong.

The 800 crankcase is the same as the 1000, the crank itself is not. It is possible to put 1000 cylinders on the 800, but I believe you have to shim them up a bit. The stroke on the 800 is longer.

I believe there were kits to bore or replace cylinders on the old triples to go up to 1400ccs, but I don't know who did them, or if you could even still get one.

My motor isn't even based on a T-cat. It's two 900 twin engines cut apart and welded into a triple, then bored to take the M1000 piston. Makes it a 1460.

Check with Hooper racing,, East coast guy,, Has some really fast trail BB's..
I chat with a guy in michigan (I think) that says Hooper's engines only use a single ring piston.. Some say there good some don't Call and talk to them.. They do have some kits that are just about (bolt on) ... They have a 1270 kit I like not cheap but it produces 245 hp with few other mods..
