Klim F4 helmet issue

Has anyone had the plastic vent piece on the top of the helmet break? If so, is it fixable?

I'm a little leary of this part of the helmet. Seems a bit fragile.

I'm taking mine back to the dealer to see if anything can be done.

I exchanged the Klim helmets for some other helmets that do not have vents on the top. If you are going to buy these helmets you have to be very careful with them. One accidental drop or that occaisional small branch on the trail could break the plastic vent pieces.

I like the design of he Klim helmets but unfortunately I'm the type of consumer that does occaisionally drop my helmet or takes a tree branch on the noggin every once in a while.
