i noticed last year that my footage on my go pro was so bright on sunny days that you cant really make out terrain, ive seen that some companys make a polarizer lens for the go pro, anybody used this?

i'll probably look myself. i had a ton of unusable footage from sunny days last season too.. it sucks! cuz those were some of the best days of course.. the only let down about the camera really.. all other days (non-sunny) it worked great!

adjust your white balance on bright days

i always make that adjustment and it doesn't help to much..
search google for the polarizer, looks like it takes some brightness out
I'll see if I can find it but I know there is a company that sells all the helmet cams and they offer an add-on for all the cameras. You can buy the polarized lens itself. It is a film you apply.

Used these filming down in blinding Andes sun this summer. Worked like a charm. Only drawback is you really gotta make sure they are centered before you start filming, you can get a little vinetting if it's not centered.

Just got them in the mail , will try the filter out to see if it fix the problem on sunny days .

A few people I know switched to the Drift camera for that reason. It preforms much better in low light and bright sun.
