making a 1m into a front dump

i recently started having problems with the typical bog when carveing to the right. i don't know what all the solutions are but i have seen posts where guys have turned their exsisting can into a front dump. anyone have some tips for me, i was thinking of cutting the tailsection of the pipe and turning it 90 degrees to face forward and have the can horizontal instead of vertical. is there a better way?

Bog cure

Buy the 06 King Cat exhaust outlet pieces from Arctic Cat and a can from Jawz. You will spend over 400.00 but it cured my bog, it hasnt happened since.

Put an M1000 can on it. Just need to fab up a little mounting brackets for it. I did it with my 05 King Cat with an M1000 HPS Can.

Right by the outlet of your pipe there is a weld, cut the weld and turn it to where your can sits where you want it, then reweld where you cut and your done. Also, depending on the outlet of your can, you might have to cut it and make some sort of turndown on the end, then go to the arctic cat store and pickup an 06 deflector for around $20 and your set. Did not hurt performance and cured my bog. Cheap fix. Here are a couple pics.

Buy a dnd can for a 1000 nice deep sound not loud like jaws.fab your own brackets dumps out the ski well goodbye bog.

already done. turned my mrbp can into a front dump by cutting the pipe, easy as pie, thanks for the help guys.

What's the benefit of dumping the exhaust out the front, vs the bottom??

This is done to eliminate the deep bog when sidehilling on the exhaust side. Snow buildup prevents the cat from throwing out the exhaust.

Aha. That's makes sense I do suppose.

If your sled tends to dig in (like, snow OVER the hood) all the time, wouldn't it just do the same thing?
