Remove primary clutch and spark plugs . Mount a dial indicator on the engine so that the pointer is approximately 1/8 inch from the end of the shaft. Rotate crank and measure the run out or movement of the needle. (.0024 inch max movement) you can rotate the crank by putting the clutch bolt back in and using the breaker bar to slowly rotate it while you are watching the dial. Good luck
