Will a set of stock XM 174 rails bolt right up to my 09 XP, or do I need to change the mounting location on the sled?

You will need to change location with OEM 174 Rails. Ice Age offers rails to fit your 09

You would need to change a lot, more than just the mounting location. Lots of geometry differences between the 146/154/163 suspensions and the 174 suspension. Longer rear shock, different arms.....

So It looks like A guy would need the 174 ice age rails, or a complete oem skid out of a 174? Complete skid would require relocating the mounts? The thing I like about the complete skid is the upgrade to new suspension, just haven't been able to find a used one I can afford yet.

Ice age rails also have a shallower approach angle, stronger and have multiple holes to mount the rear scissor to help keep the nose down. :face-icon-small-win
