Can anyone help me out with this? My kids sled seems a little dumpy.

Do a search. There is some information on the M5. I added a 10.4" secondary and it REALLY helped the sled move much better. I can't remember the peak hp RPM for the sled. It's in my book out in the trailer.

I think around 8300, i know thats the sweetspot for my old 500 zl/r apv.

No, the stock secondary is 10". Going to the 10.4" increases the bottom end power and seems to give the sled more power throughout the power band. The 10.4" secondary I added had a Cutler torsional setup on it. That seems to help out as well. I also added the SLP air box horn to the intake.
