……..
What track is that?. I had a 3 inch 129 camso extreme here and it was HEAVY so did not install. It was 17 lbs more than the Maxtrack 2 and belting very stiff. A dedicated snowbike track needs to be flexable and lite or we simply lose HP to the track and why this new track by CMX will be a winner,It will move some serious powder which will keep the bike on the surface and float,,

It's just a cut down peak 2.5.

One of these days you guys might surprise me :)

It's just a cut down peak 2.5.

I was going to order longer rails from Iceage to use the Peak track, until now. I have to make time to go over to CMX and order a new track. . What an awesome forethought to build a track that can be cut down and still retain the outside stiffing lug.

The reason I went back to a stiff lugged track is because of the traction needed . A soft lugged track does not work for me . I've compared them side by side for the last three years and the fun factor was a noticeable difference .

If you really want it to handle more like a dirt bike the screws are a must .

If it's just an option and not better what's the point? If I'm going to spend 900 dollars on a new track it needs to be better than the one I have.

This track could be an improvement to your riding style or hinder it , I have no idea where , what or how you ride or even what you demand of the machine .

It's an option , no different than the many options that sleds have to offer .

CMX Snowbike Track

The most important aspect affecting performance of any over-the-snow vehicle is the surface that comes in contact with the snow. Recognition of this fact drove us to create the new CMX Snowbike Track! The 12 ½” width track will be available in 120”, 129” & 137” lengths and the 11” and 11 1/2" wide track will only be available in the 120” length. This means that we will also be offering an 11” CMX Snowbike Kit as well as our standard 12 ½” kit. The 11” kit will be better suited for Snowbike Racing, Free Style and for smaller riders with smaller bikes. The 12 ½” is still the standard backcountry track where flotation and traction are the priority. The track is radiused to make initiating turns effortless. 2 1/2" center lug height and 2 1/4" outer. We added stiffening towers to the backside of the lugs to maintain better traction in all snow conditions, and we added powder grippers to the front side of the lugs to optimize traction in the powder. The twin tower outer lug design will enhance side hilling control, and when cut to the narrower width, it will still have a stiffening tower on the outside edge. The design for this track was inspired by the PEAK 2.5 that was standard equipment on the CMX Snowmobiles that we built from 2011 to 2015. Best all around track we ever used and we are confident that the CMX Snowbike track will prove to be the same. Judging from the deposits we are getting, I think many other people are thinking the same thing. This CMX Track is a total game changer! :)

Ordered!

I ordered mine today through my local CMX dealer, The Moto Shop (Bend, OR)

I pulled the trigger for two reasons. I tore a center paddle off my Timbersled 120 this last winter. I also rode a Camso kit and noticed how well the track got up onto the snow. I figured it was a good reason to try out another track. Hope it helps!

Do us all a favor and weigh it and the timbersled track on the same scale. Hope it works well for ya!

I have a new take off maxtrak yeti 2.5 129 for $300, but if ewe can swing it buy the new cmx track

These cheap people want the bugs worked out of the product for them.
I have a Maxtrak I and II. $300 will get you the max I in a 137.

If you have a ts convex track I think you would be hard pressed to notice changing to an identical track lug height in different lug shapes..........
(Lighter wallet may help emotional/ mental horsepower)

Build your own 3” for cheap?
Or save for a newer/ lighter kit?

I’m going to try a 3” ($220 investment for drivers and 6 studs)
Track was free. (Torn window)
