Big John even with the belt issues on the 154 2.5 go up a tooth, what's your input on brp wanting to run 21/53

it was poor clutching, wrong belt deflection video, no venting, poor PDI by dealer, owner running sled at wrong rpm for MOST issues...
gearing is way down the list-BJ...

What should proper belt deflection set at?

almost cord showing tight, the "bottom of the rib" leaves about 2-3" of deflection = BAAAAD!!

its NOT called "belt ride height adjustment" for a reason, its "belt deflection" how tight/lose is the belt between the clutches...

yes the 850 needs a little tighter belt than the 800, shoot for minimal deflection like 1" and/or slight chirp of the belt when idling-BJ

This cracks me up, and I'm a doo guy, too. It's only 15 large anyways.

redding, ca
I have a 17' Summit X 850 165' and the thing is a animal, I didn't have one issue with the sled last year. I got 1,098 miles on my original belt and only reason I replaced that belt was a little cord stated pulling out so I made it a good spare belt. And I had 1600 problem free miles and I ride the sled pretty damn hard. What I'm getting at is do you guys think I should leave the gearing how it is or should I do the recall? I would hate for the updated gearing to mellow the sled out. I ride 5,000 to 8,000 feet elevation.

So even the 2.5 154 is now 21/51?
