Well it made it 455 miles and was 1/4 mile from the truck on the way down from a great day and it let go... I'm certain the oil filter isn't supposed to be hanging like that?!

Oh my lord. What kit did you install? I'm thinking the 210/275 evo. That's too bad. What are your plans now?

Yes Evo. Ran the 210 to hope it didn't happen... It was ripping prior to this..
I'm not sure yet... I have another sled to ride so this may sit for a while. Sucks Yamaha pulled a fast one on us and this is the outcome..

this is a sad day,its the only thing they had going for them in the mtn segment, was big power on the stock motor.
guess my next sled could be a 2 stroke:face-icon-small-dis:puke:

really hope yammi steps up & fixes this.

You know it will be time to jump ship when Christopher jumps ship and buys a 2 stroke. Oh wait he is snowchecking 2017 XM's HeHe. This sled had potential, its a shame that now more and more people are able to ride because of improved snow conditions and we are seeing the results and the issue is growing. It sounds like Yamaha is doing pretty good damage control but Who knows if they are replacing the motors with more of the same or did they actually fix the issue in the replacement motors.

These darn SR Vipers. With less than 1000 miles, it needs a new jug and pistons. Only if Yamaha could build a reliable sled that could go off the trails. I wonder why customers don't demand reliable motors. Yamaha once again disappointing their customers.

Am I missing the punch line? I see a Polaris Pro...
