Sled deck build

Decided to build a sled deck, using a flat deck I had built for a truck I used to have. As it sits right now it’s 80” wide/8’ long and has 1” fur decking. Which I’m considering replacing with 1/2” to save weight.

Stripped it down yesterday, built some legs for it today. Left enough room and height for the ramp to slide in on the bottom side of the deck.

I’m planning on pinning it into the fifth wheel rails in my box as well as turnbuckles.

I have to finish welding the legs, add some gussets and as well as remove and rebuild the headache rack. Also I plan to make sides that slide/pin in to make it 8’ wide.

Doesn’t look like I got lots done, but I did a fair bit. Welded everything up, added some gussets, tie down tabs on the deck.

Tied the legs in to each other, than made 2 pieces of tube pin into the rails.

Edit: not sure why my phone is putting random pics sideways.

Must be the forum itself. Another forum I’m on never have this problem.

Posted a pic taken horizontal and it uploaded upside down.

This pic was taken vertical.

Anyways, got the head ache rack made. It came out quite nice I think.

Got a fair bit done.

Got some 1 7/8” pipe on the back for the ramp to hook into, as well a solid bar to extend out another foot or so.

Plasma’d some holes for the sides, got them so the pin in and slide out to 8’ wide. Still need to do a little reinforcing on them.

Got buddy at work to plasma me ski guards and some for the ramp as well.

Looks good, are there extensions on the sides of the back rail for the ramp to hook to for loading the second Sled? Any ski slides? I used strips of old bed liner for the last couple I built.

I used some 1.5” round bar that slides into the tubing to extend the ramp mount over. Worked out quite well actually.

Haven’t bothered with slides yet. If I gets old of a bed liner I may do something. I did get ahold of some superglides for the ramp though. They work pretty slick.
