Looking for suggestions/ideas on a career where i can work 4 days per week. I'm 33 and have been in sales/ business development pretty much all my life. From 97-2004 I worked on Wallstreet in NYC. Since then I've been in the start-up world. For the past year I've been a sales consultant. Love what I do but the pace never slows down and there is NO stability. I've had income levels all over the board (0k - 200+k) and just need something stable and somewhat healthy (60k-100k). Sledding is by far my biggest expense and i like to renovate houses. Would like to stay in Colorado also.

Suggestions?

you could get that kind of schedule anywhere in the industrial world. If you want a "slower" pace, get a job on a ski resort. Most of them work 4/10's during the summer and some switch to a 5/10 during the winter.

I dunno man....asking $60-100k for 4 days per week.

You need to set some career goals & quit "settling" on mediocre jobs like that!:D

The shift has started already to a better schedule/less comuter costs. 4/10 are good but mo betta is a 3/12-4/12 schedule. The best available right now is the medical field but in the next year or so I expect lots more jobs to convert to fewer days/longer days.
Unless it's someplace really great, I don't do 5/8s, and then, not for long.

well..up here ..you can fence all summer, and be off all winter(I have to work all winter though) but our formen take in 60+ a year for 7 months work..in the summer we work at least 60 hrs a week..have done as many as 86.5 in a week...but you would have winters off....
