2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 Ext Cab w/ Firestones Airbags.

I had a 2 place enclosed all last year. It was a 01 Charmac, but it was all steel construction. It weighed a ton....sold it a few months ago. Kind of wishing I hadn't....I put a lot of $ and time into it. Debating on a sled deck, a 2-3 place enclosed or 2 place open. Still deciding.

Small but gets me where I need to be with the ARB on the rear and GY Duratrack Studded all around.

Pulling a single place Triton trailer.

Making a single deck, in-bed, this year with airbags hooked up to the ARB compressor.

08 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L V8 crew cab....LOVE IT...wish i had a diesel, but it does the trick...will never buy a truck w/o 4 doors..its way to nice, lol..

The trucks been through alot...1 HUGE Elk, and was a landing spot for the wifes sled ;)

V-nose 2 place trailer, great trailer...a small 2 place enclosed would be awesome, but too much $$..

gonna get a small stereo with some bumps finished this fall...with remote start/alarm

would like to get a 6" Pro Comp lift and 20" wheels, but my sled addiction pretty much makes ANY extra $$ disappear

Quite a few with V10 Fords! Do u not like fuel mileage?:face-icon-small-con

Fuel mileage isn't great, but it's not horrible, I've seen 13MPG on a 1200 mile trip with my quad in the back..... What I really like personally is the smooth, snappy power, quiet, and no diesel smell, extremely reliable... just a nice motor IMO. Not quite the throw you back in the seat torque of a diesel, but still decent and I can buy a lot of gas for the $4-5K price difference.

6.8L V-10 - 310 hp/425 lb ft torque circa 2002, the newer 3 valve motors are stronger

7.3L - 275 hp/500 lb ft

6.0L - 325 hp/560 lb ft

Getting Rusty but Trusty

I don't own a nine, but I tow my buddies nine all the time. Usually have a sled in the box and two on the trailer. The trailer deck was a sled deck for this truck, but was too heavy for the half ton with stock rear suspension so I bolted it on a utility trailer for winter use. Trucks getting a heart transplant after one last 1000 mile journey back to MN. Its my first vehicle, starting year 6 in November. Its a 96' F-150, 5.8 4x4 @ 163,000. One pic is from Yellowstone (May 2009), the one with 3 sleds is from April in Crested Butte, CO, and the one with the Edge RMK (new toy!) in the bed is from June in the Snowies.
Enjoy the summer mods!

WOW! If ur getting 13 in that thing that is great for a V10! We took a trip to the UP once with 2 trucks, Both 05s one V10 and one 6.0 stroker, both hauling 4 place enclosed trailers with identical load. The V10 got about 8mpg where the diesel got 13mpg.

The smell of diesel is one of the best things about it!:face-icon-small-hap

Ya, it does pretty good unloaded on the freeway, haven't really pulled much with it yet tho, I'm sure it will drop to 8-9, and it gets about 9-10 just driving around town, but it is a fun rig to drive.. after test driving several diesels with a buddy of mine, I like the 'sport' feel of the v-10 and the noticeable lack of vibration:D

I would love to get 13 pulling a 4-place enclosed, and it would be nice to have a rig that made that whistling sound, haha:face-icon-small-sho
