I'm considering rolling the chaincase in my edge to go to a deeper track.

Have you Done it?

Does it move the Jackshaft inside the tunnel with the HOLZ kit? Rotate forward? or what?

Do you have to change to a different belt length? if so What length center to center?

Was it worth the work and money? And can you get a 2.4" lug under it?

Thanks in advance.

it does not roll it, it just moves the chaincase down 5/8 of a in. you can get a 2.4 on it. I think it makes a big difference. it is a good kit. the jackshaft stays above the bulkhead

Installed one on an '04 ProX chassis. Moves the driveshaft and jackshaft down 5/8 of an inch. Helped track angle. Also ran 10 tooth drive sprockets with a 2" x159" track so I am sure a 2.4" with 9 tooth will fit. Not a ton of work, just time consuming. All templates are included with the kit and the belt center to center distance remains the same. Should be easier to install on the RMK chassis than ProX

I've done a bunch of them. The other guys have answered the questions. Uses the same belt, no change there. I don't think it is worth it unless you want to run the bigger paddles. To do it just for 5/8" drop it isn't worth the effort in my opinion.

I have had it on several different sleds. I ran a 162" Camoplast Challenger Extreme with 2.5" lugs and 3.0 drivers and I had plenty of clearance.

I said the same thing til I got on a sled w/o the dropped chaincase with my old motor in it and it did not hook up like mine did. and it was before I put the 2.4 on my sled

If it is not the Vertical Escape then you have to get the end of the drive shaft? turned down to accept the bearing supplied in the kit. Your dealer should be able to assist you there. Kit is absolutely worth it if you step up to a 2.5 or 2.4 track. Huge difference between the 2'' and 2.4''. I did this swap last year on my old 02' 800 and it was awesome.
