Need reports on what roads are like out in the Dakota's, usually take 90 all the way but was thinking 94 might be better with this storm. Leaving from southern Mn around 3.
Thanks Darren

A sledding buddy in Rapid City said they only got 1 inch of snow, last night. I might be tempted to take I90 instead of 94

I live 30 miles north of the North Dakota, South Dakota border mid way from east and west. We have 12" of snow now and its still coming, no travel advised. I94 north of us has 4 to 5 inches and is slick. I90 sounds good to go but they have a 60% chance of snow in the black hills area. I'd still be looking south

We had warmer temps yesterday around Bismarck. Froze last night and we are getting snow now. Not really a lot of snow but watch for black ice

Coming home from work took 2.5 hrs for 80 miles. Over twice as long, so yes the roads are bad and no travel advised in the area.

4" in Fargo, roads suck all the way from here to bismarck where they got 12"+. Done snowing now, but supposed to get COLD and windy so all that snow will be moving...That was me, I'd hold off or find another route NOT I-94.
