I believe the the OP said it was a DT04-2P.

It looks like it, but can't confirm. If so:

1 Connector - Deutsch DT04-2P
1 Wedge - Deutsch W2P
2 Pins - Deutsch 1060-16-0122 or 1060-16-0622 (depending on wire size)

Not positive, but going to guess these are cheap off-shore knock-offs, and not genuine TE Deutsch connectors. A lot of the cheapos out there on Ebay and even Amazon. They will probably work, but not the same quality as genuine TE and my corrode over time or have some fitment issues. Given that they ship from China, and there is more emphasis on the PN than the brand, I would suspect they are fakes.

Edit- Has anyone varified that is the correct connector needed?

Found them for $2.51 shipped on eBay. Cheaper to buy the set then just the male.

Just curious, has anyone wired up a Pro Armor tether with the new connectors?

My 850 came with a empty sealed Deutsch connector already plugged into the tether plug, so all that's needed to to convert your 800 tether over is just the 2 pins.

I cut the old end off my Pro Armor tether, soldered/crimped on 2 new pins and installed them into the connector that came with the sled. I have tested it and it works like a charm. Only cost $2, could be done even cheaper if you can find just the pins.

To find the pins needed to install into the empty connector that comes with the 850 is not easy, as you can't just buy two. But you will also need a special crimper to pinch wires onto pins.

For anyone looking to convert 850 over to the AC tether my harness will have that connector already installed on harness so you pull that empty plug off and plug my harness right into it. For pre 2019 polaris sleds I suggest getting rid of that old style flat pin connector and also again with my harnesses I put in the full DT2 connector because you don't want moister into the connectors.
Great pics to help others understand.

What is the cost of a Pro Armor tether?
And whats everyones opinion of the Pro Armor tether??

Just did a Axis CNC setup last night with the Pro Armor. Yes the sled already comes with the plug and wedge so all you need is the 2 pins. The wire on the tether is a differnt gauge than the pins so you will have to trim a few strands to fit properly. Super nice sealed plug.

I did not use a special crimper, seams very secure.
The Axis CNC setup with Billet bar mount is $95 shipped.
I have been running the Pro Armor for years with zero issues.

I have have heard of issues but those were associated with water. If you hang them up they can get water in them I suppose. Also I dont haul my sled on a open trailer.

I also love my Pro armor tether and want to convert it over. What pins do we need to get to make the conversion?

Up until now, the pro-armor / pro-design was the best tether available. But needed consistent cleaning of the contacts because they would corrode from water intrusion. Disassemble the tether, clean the contact and reassemble, takes 15 minutes. This has been commonplace in my sledding group for years. Not a huge deal, but just putting the information out there for people making a decision on what tether to purchase. I am excited to use a fully sealed tether with no moving parts! Good job Arctic Cat.

I am sure it is possible, just not an issue we have ever had. I have never cleaned out any of mine.

I got my 174 x 3" AXYS the other day and the tether connector was one of the first things I looked at. This new connector comes with the mating connector already installed as a cap to keep water out. So if anyone wants to connect to it, it is super easy. Simply pull off the cap connector and then with a paper clip that has a hook bent on the end, hook out the green pin locker from the inside. Now you only need an extra pin (or 2 ) and you can remove the plastic plugs and insert the pin to connect your tether. Please note that the black wire is the ecu wire that needs to be grounded to kill the motor. You do not need to connect to both sides if your tether is grounded on one side.

We will be adding the necessary pin to the harness for the Laser Phantom Teth-Air so it is plug and play.
