Default Fitting 2012 cylinder on 2009 case?/

Will the articcat 2010 m8 ho cylinders work on a 2009 crank case or what is the difference?

The 2009 to 2010 motors just changed the head right? Maybe the gaskets? I assume you checked part numbers between 2009 and 2012...

The 2012 HO M8 cyl will fit the 2009 m8 crankcase need to use HO Y-pipe though

The 2010 lightweight crank sure improves response though, not sure if any faster than heavier 07-09 though.
