Oil pump cable

I've read of several cable failures on here.
What is the simplest way to verify condition of this cable.
I've tried flashlight, tried to reach by fingertips, tried inspector cam.........

I'm ready to throw flour on her & look for the wet spot:loco:

Any easy answer here?

Your odometer??? The major wear point hides just inside the oil cable end. So you pretty much need to pull the cable off and pull it all the way out and visually inspect it.

Last one was just starting to lose strands at 2300 km.

if you pull the primary you can see end of cable
