Hello Everyone,

We are currently in the process of developing several new models of DuraPro ski dampeners, including ones for the G4 skis. (dampeners are similar to these: https://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4106621#post4106621)

We've received mixed info concerning part numbers and design... we can't seem to get a straight answer as to whether the dampeners between the 2017, 2018, and 2019 sleds are the same or different. :face-icon-small-dis

So, we are hopeful that you all might be able to help clear up our confusion by posting pics of your ski saddle / dampener / spindle along with the year of your G4?

Anyone willing to help, it would be much appreciated!! PM me for a future coupon code also. Many thanks!

Pretty sure the 17 and 18 G4 use the same ski damper.

However I’d think a online parts fiche or a dealer could sort that out in a short order.

One would think that it would that simple, but here's the latest info we were given by Ski-Doo themselves! :face-icon-small-dis

2016 Dampener part #505072594
2017 Dampener part #505074138
2018 Dampener part #505072594 (same as 2016)???

Hence our confusion, but thank you guys for helping!

Confusion ... maybe these items are tested more / better in real world applications than the "perfect" (weight height skill) paid for by the manufacturer?

It appears to me not many 250 pound riders on the SKIDOO website and videos.

My 17 and 18 rubbers look the same.

I used to blown through rubbers on the XM like condoms after a day post Sledden drunken ..........never mind.

But the G4 rubbers have been more durable I’ve only punched through one and I would say there is a tipping point where the ski is going fold if the rubbers are much stronger. For what it’s worth....

Thank you for verifying and for the observation! We've seen semi-similar failure results in our preliminary tests and consequently, our Gen4 DuraPro dampener won't be any more "stiff" than OEM.
Instead, it will offer a more linear dampening effect and MUCH more durability (due to chemical composition).

Thank you again very much!
