Axys '17 to '18 Pipe Change?

I'm trying to figure out why my '18 Axys runs stronger than my '17. I noticed there is a different pipe # on the '17 versus '18 parts list. Anybody know if it is a different pipe or just cosmetic changes? The ECU has a different part number also (mapping?). My '17 requires 10-60's at 10,000 to maintain 8,100 r's, my '18 pulls 10-64's at the same elevation and runs 8,150r's. In side by side uphill drags the '18 pulls the '17 by a good margin.

Exhaust sensor is different from 16-17 to 18. Requiring different pipe fitting.

Sometimes, a sled just runs better then others. Not all 18's are equal. If I remember right the white ones seem to have an edge. Sounds crazy. 4 grams is a ton though. Some stock pipes don't always run the same either.

10-4, I forgot about the exhaust temp sensor change. Could this also relate to the ECU change? I can't help but think that something was changed as far as fuel delivery. My '17 suffers substantial RPM loss on 50 degree spring days, the '18 still performs great on hot spring days.
