what is everyone using for reeds? these ones are smoked after only 2-300 miles

TDR makes a doo turbo reed that works good.22thou some guys double up stock reeds, but I seen to much throttle lag response with that..
Heard positive response from running stock reeds, but you muct be carful not to have engine caugh or over rev.. Easiest way to take them out..
Put a set of carbon fibre $$ reeds in last year, been running decent so far
Poped a set last year after blowing a belt and causing over rev.. Good to carry a spare set in trailer

I’m guessing your talking 800 doo not 850? The 850 is supposed to have better reeds isn’t it?

I heard the 850 reed works in the 800 and the 850 reed is much better than the 800 reed. I had over 700 miles on my MPI turbo 850 last season and had 5 friends with 850 MPI turbos. Probably over 6,000 miles combined and not a single reed problem. Something worth looking into for reeds for the 800.

What’s it act like when you blow the reeds I think I just did it today
850’s booster injectors will keep the reeds wet, that should make them last longer.
So not sure if 850 has better reeds?
