Have to agree with some of the "who cares" sentiment. Post count/Rep Score are really irrelevant on any forum as to whether the user is a valuable contributor.

Takes but a few interactions with people to realize if they are spewing BS or have something pertinent to add.

I would hazzard a guess that one of the reasons snowest IS such a great and popular snowmobile site is the lack of moderator interactions. Seems like the time is coming when everytime someones farts the wrong way someone will jump in and spray some air freshener from the censorship can. This will undoubtely drive away users and change the overall feel that has made this site what it is.

Time will tell.
Agreed!

Obviously the bottom end needs to be something to do with being a total noob. NOT insulting, but a title we want to encourage members to MOVE PAST quickly by posting a few times!

The top of the scale needs to be some killer titles that suggest the ultimate mountain rider.

And ALL of them should be FUN and LIGHTHEARTED

simple the best are called X

PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Don't over moderate this joint like other forums, it completely ruins the site. If you want a lesson of a place that got ruined by admin and moderators sucking the fun out of a site, go to snowandmud.com.

Right now SnoWest is not really using the Member Titles option on the forums.

Currently if you have

0-29 posts, your title is "Junior Member"

30-99 posts, "Member"

100+ posts, "Senior Member".

This doesn't offer a whole lot of opportunity to gain recognition for spending time and putting forth effort to help build the forums.

I would like to implement a full scale for Member Titles.

Level 1: 0-9

Level 2: 10-24

Level 3: 25-49

Level 4: 50-99

Level 5: 100-249

Level 6: 250-499

Level 7: 500-999

Level 8: 1,000-2,499

Level 9: 2,500-4,999

Level 10: 5,000-7,499

Level 11: 7,500-9,999

Level 12: 10,000+ posts!

What I would like to ask you for, is suggested TITLES at each of these levels.

Obviously it would be nice if we could keep them HIGHLY snowmobile oriented!!

But surely we can do better than just Junior, Member and Senior.

It take a heck of a lot of time and effort to climb post scale, and those that have done so should be acknowledged for it.
What happened to my post count? I had over 2000 posts made, now I am down to 60.

Nice to reference or take a jab at the flatlanders on here when we actually ride just as much as the mountain folk too. Maybe noobs could be changed to "Utah Natives?"

there IS a little bias on this forum towards the MOUNTAINS after all. Its what makes SnoWEST.

I like groups 5 or 6. I may have a bunch of posts but I prefer not to be called a Swenson wanna be. That seems to be sort of offensive.

This may sound dumb but I had to google his name to find out who he was. I tend to ride a bunch and not glorify or idolize others. I used to do that but I outgrew it back in the early 90s, when I grew up.

Yeah those guys are great riders but there are others who are just as good and don't have a swelled head. They are the ones that show up to your little get together at a snow show, chow a burger and enjoy a beer with you and aren't all worried about Monster decals, sponsorships or which is the best sled hands down.
