Anyone have pics of the holes drilled in the case when cylinders off for when you eliminate the oil pump on a 1000 to oil shaft properly. How deep to drill and what size bit, straight drill in and out. Can it be done without splitting case, maybe tape off, vacuum running, grease on drill bit, etc. Any pics or more info would be appreciated as cylinders coming off tomorrow to refreshen top end. Let me know

I am also going to do this. And it would be great with some more information:) I will split my case before I drill it.
People are taking about drilling a 45* angle hole next to the oil hole to the bearing, if I understand it right.
Is it just on one side or do I have to do both?

Ud you go to the top of the arctic cat pages there is a thread with all the helpfull links. There is about 5 pages on the oil delete topic. It has pictures, tap and drill sizes depths and some tips and tricks for doing it. It should help you out
It is actually really easy to do

I used a 11/64th drill bit as it was handy.
Chamfered a basin around the hole to help catch the oil.
On an angle right into the gear chamber.
(Of course this is with the BDX delete kit)
This is the second 1000 I have done this way. The first is a T1200 and has two seasons on it without any problems.
