I have an 09 IQR 600 and live in Durango, CO. I ride at 10k all the time (Silverton) here in colorado. The setups are a little diiferent from IQR to RR but here are some starting points for you.

+ The race manual recomends a 10-M5 for 8-10k, 10mb for 10k-12k
Also recomends gearing of 21:41 for anything above 6k
Jetting wise a 330 main and needle in clip position 1 would be a good starting point. In my expierence, the race manual is a bit rich based on a egt tune but I am racing so that is different. The richer setting is probably better for trail.

Where are you in Colorado? I have mine pretty dialed in and can say you will love it. I ride with two other IQR's, one 08 cat racer and one 09 doo racer all at altitude above 9k so we relate to needing setup help.

Just for info... 09 IQR gearing is 19/45, for my set up I run 290 mains and switched to polaris needle 3131207. Runs like a raped ape. Clutch wise I have a EPI maroon and 54g bellybusters. Will help you in any way I can.- Aaron

I have no exp. with tunning in a mod IQR. I raced in Craig, CO last year and I think that was 6500 feet. I will look at my tunning book (race manual) to see what I ran there but dont know that it will help out a mod sled much. What I do know is the IQR rips the lower in elevation you go. I could see a big difference between Silverton(10k) and Craig. At Craig my sled would catwalk on the rear bumper easily. You just dont get that same GO up in the thin air. Would love to venture to midwest for a day, see how these do at sea level
