Here's a wicked deal that I found while browsing kijiji. Not a 06, but 05 is pretty much the same, and for that price if theres nothing wrong with it, it's a steal.

Well...first of all a 05 is NOT the same as a 06 secondly a 06 1000 is way different to DIG out when your STUCK cause the thing weighs a ton ...sry buddy your off base ...there is a reason that people want good money for a 06 800...period

Sounds like someone is sore because a 1000 smoked their 800? :D 1000's ain't heavy, if you can notice a difference riding them, then maybe you should look for a sled with a heated seat, and some nice pink tassles. I don't think I will know what it feels like to dig it out, because I will spend all day digging out my buddies with pesky 800's with their measly 151"s, trying to follow the big old RT :D The 05 is also a pretty solid sled, and that one was a heck deal of a deal.

I dont think I overpaid at all!
Considering I sold my 2003.5 REV Summit X 800 144 for $6000, I think i did ok on both ends
Now my 03.5 had a TONNE of MODS, I dont think $6500-7000 is too much to pay for an '06
It was the BEST year 800 REV hands down - anyone who says different doesnt know chit
The '07's and '08's ALL had issues

do you really wanna lose that sled over a few hundred????
I wouldnt, buy it up

Nice sled I have a 06 159 X and you won't be dissapointed. Two things to do for sure, but pretty easy to do. 1} Move the ECM. That thing being under the headlight is wet all the time and will cause problems. I put mine on top of the oil tank. Took 30 minutes to relocate. 2}Install Nordlock washers on the exhaust bolts and it won't come loose. A ball tip allen wrench works the best as some bolts are a bit tough to get to. I think they are 5 MM.

I am in the USA so not sure about conversion but I bought a 2006 800 X 151 red & white for $5800 last year. All stock except for can. It had a new motor put in it so motor had about 500 miles on it and body had 3200. It took awhile but I found what I was looking for. I now will be considering moving the ecm because it had to be replaced last year due to corrosion and now 1 of the tabs is broken, not sure how that happend.

Grizz, if you are looking for an 07, there is one at the Westlock Doo dealer. It has all the updates, red and white colors, very clean. It looked like it had the 159 on it. Very similar to enis750's. He told me 7500 in the summer, i am sure a guy could get it for less now.
