A buddy of mine has an 01 800 mc and it broke the pto end off on friday. I was wondering if it is possible to replace it with a 33mm end and not have to do any other mods. It wrecked the primary when it broke so he needs to buy a new one anyway so thats not an issue. If this is possible does anyone have a source on pto ends? Thanks.

You will have to get a whole 33mm crank and case. I dont even know for sure if it will bolt to your jugs but i think an 02 and newer will. Had the same problem with the exact same sled as yours. Two cranks later we gave up and you should do the same. Cat knew they had a problem cause a year later (02) they made the 33mm crank and thus a great motor. Good luck. Sometimes its better to get out and cut your losses rather than charge on. Try ebay for 02 and newer crank and case.

Actually, I believe you can just put a 33mm PTO end on your crank.

The same thing just happened to my buddy with his 01 800. Fortunetaly, I have a 900 bottom end to sell him.

WOW! his didnt look that bad! It must have been pulling hard when it let go for that kind of damage.

Yikes, Primary and secondary grenaded, At least the bellypan and crankcase are intact! Boy, That must of went off with a bang!
