Engine for 1997 wedge project?

Am working on a XC 600 -97 project but can't make up my mind about the powerplant, suggestions?

It should be at least 90 hp preferably a little more and lightweight as I want to make it as nimble as possible. I want at least a 144 x 1.5 track så it's gotta have some torque

I have a 770 engine tech big bore motor with Crank shop high altitude twins. Motor runs really strong. I have everything for it including carbs, vforce reeds, 2 sets of domes 12:1 and 14:1, 2 CDI boxes, 40mm rack carbs with holzman atacc, and cables. PM me if you are interested.

Yeah, a friend of mine has a MXZ 670 HO that's a real ripper and all stock too. So the 670 rotax is battling with the 600 VES for top position on my most wanted list:). How about the 597(SS) rotax engine? pros cons? Any other suggestions?

Here you go, around 150 Hp and works! No one I've heard has ever complained about Engine-Tech motors.

Should bolt right in there to, makes for a factory look and use oem parts, clutch c-c distance will bea easy.

Hei gutt!;) En 800:a är ju kul men var ute efter en lätt och förhållandevis stark motor för att få en smidig maskin så då vore ju en 600:a eller däromkring perfekt:)
