Jackshaft noise

Opened up chaincase today to change gears and noticed the jackshaft makes some noise when spun. I want it to be ok, but have a feeling it's bearing-swap time.

Sounds normal to me. It sounds like that because the bearing is dry and the noise of the dry bearing is resonating through the aluminum case. It will be fine with oil slung up there.

Thanks for taking a look. I was hoping I wouldn't have to change any bearings yet (2000 miles).
But if I have to, now would be the best time. I am half way there already.

I agree with the above!…but of course for piece of mind..while you have it torn apart..change its and you will feel better about it:thumb:
