If you would like to change your older P85 Pro ride clutch to work like the New Axys clutching we can do that...Here is what happened. The Pro ride has a step in it and the sheave angle is 14 degrees both sides. The NEW Axys primary clutch is at 13.5 degrees with NO step. The new angle allows for faster shift out and the belt will ride higher on the sheaves thus making a few MPH faster on top end..

We can cut your clutches to the new 13.5 degree Sheave angle and re-shim your clutch as you will need that done because the clutches close, closer together now...

The new Axys belts #3211177 are at 26 degree to compensate..

Help me understand this clutch shimming thing.

I was under the impression that a clutch would need shimmed to ensure proper belt to sheave spacing at idle. Can you clarify how and why you shim a clutch for full shift out?

Thanks for the info.

The reason the clutch needs to be re shimmed is because when you cut more angle off the sheave (from 14 to 13.5) you remove material off the bottom/start of the clutch, so that will open up your belt clearance by around .040 roughly..That way the clutch closes further than before, making the belt ride up higher on the clutch..

I received that belt number from Polaris RD Dept/people...I work with them on many things...

Pro belt was 117

Pro belt is 115

Found this on another site:

The 3211115 belt, was originally a ground side (fuzzy tan) drive belt. It is used on MY16 Axys 600 Mountain sled, and many previous sleds. It was made later with cut sides. Different side angle than 3211122 belt.
The 3211183 belt, is a cut side drive belt used on MY16 AXYS 800 Mountain sled.
The 3211117 belt, is a ground side (fuzzy tan) drive belt used on Polaris FS and FST snowmobiles.
The 3211165 belt, is a cut side drive belt recommended by Polaris for the 600 engine in AXYS 600 Flatland chassis sleds.
The 3211177 belt, is a cut side drive belt recommended by Polaris for the 800HO engine in AXYS 800 Flatland chassis sleds.

3211115 1.46" width, 46.77" outside length. low modulus PBO AXYS 600 mountain
3211183 1.46" width, 46.77" outside length. high modulus PBO AXYS 800 mountain
3211117 1.49" width, 46" outside length
3211165 1.46" width, 45.16" outside length. low modulus PBO AXYS 600 flatland
3211177 1.46" width, 45.16" outside length. high modulus PBO AXYS 800 flatland

Thanks for the post Biltit! yes the 177 belt has a 26 degree pitch. The rest have a 28 Degree pitch. The 177 was made for the new Axys clutch sheave angle for a better grip to the sheave.

Now I find this pretty interesting...
3211115 doesn't last and doesn't preform as well in the Axys 800 because of the Axys cut on the primary.. but will work in a pinch !!
The 600 Axys primary must have the "older Pro" cut on the primary???????
