Anyone know if this seat (#6639-873) for the long tank with battery will come to the Ascender chassi or if this one will fit with some modifications? -18 long tank is the same as before but the -18 seat is done some changes around the front of the seat.

I swapped the 18 plastics onto my 16 and my 16 seat was too long at the front so I had to trim it. From your pics you can see how much longer the front of the seat on the 17 is, it goes right up to the gas cap where the 18 ends about 2 inches shorter. Other than the the attachment is the same.

Its a little different at the front of the seat, maby more?

Trying to bring life to this thread.
The seat 6639-873, is the only modification needed a shortening of the seat at the top/front? For a fit on a 2018/2019 Mcat with electric start (long seat).

Is it the same attachments otherwise?

Thanks,
Lavskrikan

Okay, sounds nice.
How did you shorten it, with a saw? And then glue for the leatherwork?

Thanks

I measured and marked the seat. Removed some of stitches at the top that held the seat cover to the seats plastic and cut the seat plastic to match the newer body work. Folded the seat cover over the shortened seat plastic and glued it down. It's been like that for 2 years now. No problems so far

Same here basically, only I took the easy way out and paid a local upholstery shop 75 bucks and stitched it up!
