SPI Stators?

I notice that SPI is offering a replacement stator for the 2011-2012 Pros. Anyone used them? Are they a good option? They are less than 1/2 of what the OEM one costs.

Got an 11 Pro with a bad stator.

I would not recommend going that route. I purchased one last year for my 2012 Pro. After a few hours of cussing and modifying I finally got it to bolt up and make power. I'm pretty sure that nobody at SPI has ever actually tried to install some of the products they sell on sleds. Purchase a low mileage take-off or choke up the $$$ for new, you'll be way ahead.

Thanks for the info. I actually didn't even know SPI was making stators until I started searching for one. I'll keep my eye open for a good used one.
