10 M8 will only idle

Was riding sled and ran great. Mid day it suddenly bogged down and when it came to a stop it would only idle. Once you hit around 3,000 rpm it cuts out. Swapped ECM with another sled, didn't help. Checked all wires by coils and they are good. Throttle cable seems fine. Ideas?

First thing to check is fuel pressure. Then check TPS.

Forgot to mention that, 45lbs fuel pressure. How do I test TPS?

check throttle lever. May be out of adjustment and working the throttle safety switch.

This first and foremost. It's quick and easy and is kind of a 'thing' with these throttle blocks.

The lever needs to be tight to the stop at the cable so the pin is pulled to the outside of the handlebar. When you push on lever you should hear a click when the pin hits the safety switch. If that doesn't fix it then you need to open the throttle block on the handle bar and disconnect it to test. I would not run it that way without a tether it would not be safe. Hope this helps.

Checking tps; not easy

I noticed on my 09 that there is a lever avatar when I first start it up, I am wondering if that is for the throttle safety switch being activated.

Disconnect it to be sure. It's a tiny two pole plug that leads from where the pivot on your throttle block is.
