track tension?

factory calls out 3/8"-1/2" with 10lbs. that seems really tight!!!! i was thinking more like 1" at 10lbs

what is everyone running? mine has stetched out to 1-1/2" already from breakin

It does SEEM tight, I've been running our three Pros at 1/2" for over four thousand miles and it works great.

Original hifaxes on the 155 at 2600 miles-- they still look new.

You'll hear it on the brakes going down hill first.

Single ply tracks stretch like crazy. No offense intended but the hillbilly argument that it spins easier by hand in the garage has no bearing on what the track is doing under load and being STRETCHED by 150 hp.

The amount of parasitic drag when the track is rubbing the top of the tunnel is the big HP robber.

Murph is right. My Pro was making all kinds of weird mechanical noises when braking down hill. Swore it was in the clutch. Posted the symptoms on here and was told to tighten my track. I was really surprised that it didn't ratchet at all under full power in deep heavy snow but it was ugly going down hill. Tightened the track just a bit and all betta now.
