I have a bad crack in my hood right on the nose between the headlights and I am wondering how you remove the hood off the chassis and then remove the headlights out of the hood so I can fix the crack from the underside of the hood. Thanks

Remove side panels

Remove two Torx bolts by handlebar risers

Lift up and slide the hood forward.

That will at least get the good off for you.

You also need to disconnect the hood harness from the main harness, if your going very far with it. :face-icon-small-win

Had my hood off more than once and takes less than 6 min and can be done on the trail if you need to. Follow the instructions above and like was said, unhook the one multi plug going to all everything on the hood.

Thanks for the help, I think that was the easiest thing I have ever done. After I removed the hood, there were 3 screws holding the headlights in and after that was removed I was able to fix the crack.
