IT's been doing this since I bought it a couple of years ago.
The odometer seems to work fine when running, but when your shut it off and then restart the readers are off by 5-20 miles.
Same thing with trip odometer, it reads 18 when I shut it off, then restart and it is reading 11......same thing with the hour meter,
What gives?
